Daniel writes

“The Eagle stirreth up her nest”dan

Through Faith Missions is one of the very few evangelistic organisations in the land today that goes out to where the people are with the Gospel. All other forms of evangelism are valued and necessary but we are dedicated to go, as we have always done, into all the world.  “Going out” is the Biblical form of evangelism that truly seeks to work in virgin soil.  Jesus’ first words to His disciples were, “Come, follow me and I will make you fishers of men” – He left them with these words, “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all creation.”

As John (Hibberd) has been led to move on to pastures new and my health and energies are not what they were, we are faced with change.  Although this can be disturbing it can nevertheless ultimately be a good thing and we must not be afraid but seek the Lord for His wisdom and guidance and be led by Him into the future.
So much has altered during the period of my ministry.  I have been left behind when it comes to technology and the many new ways of communicating.  Of course I still fervently believe that one to one, face to face conversations are more powerful and meaningful than Blogs, Twitter and Face-book but that doesn’t mean they don’t have their place in this fast moving world.  However I am not the one to embrace them.

Reaching people for Christ remains THE priority of my life and I pray for the opportunities to share my experience with others as far as I am able.  I have found I have to pace myself these days. I will be very busy with engagements on the Two Rivers Mission with Peter and others in May but I fear that will be my last great Mission.  I look back on my life, so far, with immense gratitude, surprise and indebtedness to God and I intend to speak on the theme “A Most Fortunate Life” at this coming Prayer Partners’ Day on June 14th.  I do hope you will come.

By the time you read this I will have met with a possible candidate/successor to take on the leadership of TFM; someone who we all believe will take the ministry forward under God. If he is appointed I would urge you to give him your support and continue with the faithfulness you have shown to us all over the years.  Prayer has been the back-bone of the missions, keeping us straight and on track and encouraging us to do great things for God.  People’s lives have been changed by receiving Christ as their Saviour and many have gone on to serve Him in a full-time capacity.  In this way we have all shared in the ministry.

“Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people.”
