Two Rivers Mission  May 3rd to 18th

A Most Prayed For Mission

As I have written to you previously, so far as I am aware, The Two Rivers Mission is one of the most prayed for ones I have encountered down my twenty-nine years with TFM. As a result, from the smallest of mustard seeds in the hearts of three people, this mission has now become a tree so that not only can the birds perch in its branches but also 26 mission centres which are attracting and desiring hundreds of team members!

two riversAs you will probably know, I have been hoping, proclaiming and praying for 50’s to attend the training weekends, to make them real Pentecost events and I am thrilled to say that that was achieved at the Colchester weekend with 26 signing up for the mission – one for each mission centre!  Crowborough added to it too.  But there is still room for you.  Contact David Baslington.

Excellent publicity is being circulated to every church in the diocese of Chelmsford for the Colne River in its free newspaper called “The Month”, and the local newspapers and radio are also strong possibilities.  Ultimately, this is Christ’s mission and he is inspiring Bishop Stephen Cottrell to be his catalyst throughout the diocese. In celebration of its centenary he is saying, “Let every church reach out in mission and make Jesus known”.
If you have seen the Walk Cumbria DVD, the best one that has been made, you will no doubt recall what George Martin (chairman of our trustees) says at the conclusion.  “There’s always a good reason for not coming on mission – but it’s not good enough!”

May the Lord Jesus fill us all with his love, grace, power, and truth for the glory of his name, and the conversion and healing of multitudes and multitudes of people,

Peter
