As noted earlier, some people find Jesus an intriguing and attractive person but really struggle for a positive view of church. They want to be ‘spiritual’ but not ‘religious’.

Sometimes this is because they have had a bad or boring experience of church; it happens! How can churches be dull and why are people in them far from perfect?

If you are not familiar with church then all the denominations can be a bit confusing. We’ll have a brief look at how they came about.

Is there such a thing as a ‘good’ church? We’ll at least consider what makes for a ‘healthy’ church.
