Welcome to the TFM enewsletter..........   June 2013

John writes....

John

Do you want to be fruitful in your life and witness? Then take heed to Jesus’ words in John chapter 15: ‘I am the vine, and you are the branches. If you stay joined to me, and I stay joined to you, then you will produce lots of fruit. But you cannot do anything without me.’

This is the secret of Christian faith: keep a close relationship with Christ. Without Christ, no fruit; but with Christ, much fruit. Read the whole of v1-17 and then pray it into your life.

With love in Christ

Launch of Walk Cornwall 2
Minach Theatre

minack official 2 small

The Minack Theatre, near Lands End, was a surprisingly magnificent setting for the launch of WC2. Although it was raining and cold as we drove to the venue, mercifully, the rain held off during the service. There was a group to lead the singing; the Plymouth Youth Salvation Army Band played "Dare to be a Daniel"- which I found surprisingly moving - and a terrific choir sang some wonderful old hymns.  Gannets were diving out at sea as I got up to face an audience of between three and four hundred Cornish people who came from around the county and a number of our 'Walkers' - a pleasant and welcome delight. I spoke on Ecclesiastes Ch. 11:  v.1 - be generous   v.4 - be daring  v.6 - be diligent.

There seemed to be an appreciation for all that took place that grey afternoon as we set ourselves to this magnificent opportunity of preaching throughout Cornwall.  Thank you for your prayers.  Thank you for turning out and lastly thanks to my old pal Keith, who did the main bulk of the driving.  Come and join us, let us together discover the full reason for being invited to go back, and may God light a fire that will spread throughout an extremely needy country.

Much love,
Daniel
